For the ones with 2 straps, and buckles on the one end, you simply loop the end of each strap around your hunting stand and then back through the buckle. In order to distribute the weight as evenly as possible, you should position the straps evenly, so they’re in the same place on both sides, top and bottom.
Some brands of straps however come with a single strap featuring a buckle on each end. To attach this type of strap you need to simply loop it around the top of your stand and buckle the ends in at the bottom.
One thing that helps with this is to fold the strap in half and then set a loop behind the top of the frame of your stand. You can then feed both ends of the strap around the frame and then feed them through the loop. Your strap should now be attached at the top, allowing you to easily buckle the both ends at the bottom.
